Health on suicide squeeze

I got this full length at permanent records the other weekend and I had misjudged this band, the full length which was on red clear vinyl, from lovepump united...DNT has the cassette also fyi, and maybe it's because of their split with crystal castles (also still available from Lovepump) that I got so confused. It was all over the place, I was so confused in a good way, the same thing I got listening to Blood on the Wall. This was less melody and traditional song structure, and more sound experiment, ranging from this tribal distortion scream, to electronica, I didn't even have a reference, it was all over the place in a great way.
I didn't know what to expect next and it's so confusing I have to keep listening to it to try to figure it out. But it's pretty mysterious and dark, like These are powers, they are chanelling something primal and I'm really into it.
So Suicide Squeeze is releasing this 7" in February, and maybe they have all kinds of 7"'s planned this year, I got the feeling it's part of some kind of series or something. Go preorder it, it's going to be gone. That full length vinyl is sold out.
That reminds me of another act on suicide squeeze Hella, kind of similar, complex, crazy sound, don cab through ring modulation. Always challenging.
The B-side is a remix, which I don't know....I like health, not remixers.

Dave bazan christmas

Ahhhhhhrrrggggg. I missed the football again. I'll never learn.
I have no idea how this slipped through, I guess I kind of figured no more pedro the lion, so no more suicide squeeze xmas 7 inch. But oh how wrong I was. It's a solo Dave Bazan 7 inch, and one more for the pedro the lion section of the seven inch case.
By the way, it looked like suicide squeeze had a cool seven inch bundle of all their releases this last year for about $30 it's 6 seven inches of some out of print stuff like of montreal.
I just have a vision of one christmas, maybe this one, listening to them all around the christmas tree with a hot toddy. Or hanging them with string all over the tree. What do you think I'm insane?

VINYL FORMAT. Limited to 1,000 copies! Continuing with the Yuletide tradition, David Bazan (AKA Pedro the Lion & Headphones) delivers his own rendition of the timeless Christmas classics "Away In A Manger" and "O Little Town of Bethlehem". This marks the fourth in a series of limited edition Christmas singles for Suicide Squeeze Records. On marble vinyl!

It's available at Insound, although it says it's backordered. hmmmmmm.
