maximo park • Our velocity

This is poppy enough, I could see rocking out to this for a mix tape or two, but then the fun would wear out and you'd pick it up and think 'why did I put this band of the week on that cd' You might even be nostalgic for a minute and think you want to revist them and see if any of the other tracks have the same energy. I'm sure it will be the next big thing, it has that sound. I hope they save their money, because the cycle gets quicker and quicker.
They are doing that whole, 4 formats for 4 pounds, this was only an import, go check them out here. Just watch it, there is music that starts automatically and scares you and the guy at the desk next to you. Dammit.

'Our Velocity' is a rip roaring, rollercoaster of a return from the mighty Maximo Park, and the first single to be taken from their highly anticipated follow-up album, 'Our Earthly Pleasures', produced by Gil Norton of Pixies and Foo Fighters fame. Since their previous five Top 20 singles and gold selling Mercury-nominated debut 'A Certain Trigger', Maximo Park have headlined the 2006 NME Awards Tour, played a triumphant headline set at Reading & Leeds Festival and supported New Order and The Rolling Stones.
