THE STRANGE DEATH OF LIBERAL ENGLAND

This starts out like Clap your hands....that crazy half scream, but really dramatically, way beyond what arcade fire or clap your hands, well not way beyond clap your hands, kind of similar. The songs on their myspace get very epic, like the annuals, or even dare I say it, Mogwai-ish, complete with tiny toy xylophone solos and speedty notes from guitars in outerspace echo chambers, perfect example Summer Gave us sweetness...that is a great, great song that builds and builds. They seem to all end in a huge chorus of voices. All of these comparisons don't make a lot of sense together, but I am really liking what I'm hearing. This single comes out tomorrow and I will be on the lookout for it.
It's very reasonably priced at Fantastic Plastic. (import)
THE STRANGE DEATH OF LIBERAL ENGLAND release their second limited edition single OH SOLITUDE on 25th June on 7” and download. The limited white vinyl 7” comes in a hard card sleeve and can now be pre-ordered from the FP SHOP.

From TSDOLE's page:
Let it be known that our second single on the wonderful Fantastic Plastic Records will be 'Oh Solitude'. A tale of inner city living in the modern age this track has been played at all of our recent live dates and was previewed at our recent Maida Vale Session for Lamacq Live. It will be in shops for the end of June as a 7" and download and will be backed by a brand new, previously unheard track entitled The Forgotten Family.
