Justice Yeldham - Load records
Wow, this has to be some of the most insane/amazing music I've ever heard.
Apparently this guy uses a contact mic, a belt of effects/delay pedals and glass. He hums and makes vibrations against the glass and out comes the most amazing sound. He writhes around with his face all contorted and of course eventually cuts himself. I stumbled across more and more about this amazing artist until I was almost the last one left at work. I couldn't stop watching and reading more about this guy. Incredible.
Here is a great interview.
Just when you think noise has been completely taken to it's limits, along comes something to blow your mind again. Jut don't think that, it's ridiculous. You can't even come up with where things will go next.
This amazing seven inch is on Load records, purveyors of future noise. There's one on it's way to my mailbox.

JUSTICE YELDHAM - 'LIVE IN SCHOOL'
TWO SHOWS IN TWO EDUCATION FACILITIES. TWO SCHOOLS OF THOUGHT ANALOG OR DIGITAL. TWO SIDES OF A RECORD. WHICH JUSTICE TRACK SOUNDS BETTER, PEDALS OR LAPTOP COMPUTER?
SIDE A 172 MADISON 310305. ANALOG.RECORDED AT A STUDENT CO-OP IN THE COLLEGE TOWN MADISON WISCONSIN. PRETTY MUCH A STRAIGHT FORWARD YELDHAM SET, MADE A BUNCH OF NOISE BLOWING AND SUCKING ON A SHEET OF BROKEN GLASS, CHEWED ON IT, SMASHED THE SHEET OVER HIS HEAD, BLED A LITTLE, HARDLY ANYONE SHOWED UP AND EVEN ONE OF HIS HOSTS WENT HOME EARLY. MISERABLE SCHOOL KIDS ON A MISERABLE SCHOOL NIGHT.
SIDE B 212 HAMAR 261005 DIGITAL.RECORDED AT THE FAME STYLE, TONEHEIM FOLKEH/MGSKOLE MUSICAL HIGHSCHOOL IN HAMAR NORWAY. ORIGINALLY BOOKED TO PLAY SOME STUPID ARTS CENTRE THAT LUCKILY WAS DOUBLE BOOKED WITH MORE IMPORTANT PEOPLE. FORTUNATELY OUR HOST WORKED AT THE SCHOOL AND MANAGED TO MOVE THE GIG TO THE ASSEMBLY HALL, AND EVEN BETTER YET FORCED THE ENTIRE STUDENT BODY TO WATCH! GIVING US THE BIGGEST AUDIENCE FOR THE ENTIRE SCANDINAVIAN TOUR. THE KIDS LOVED IT THE JOY WAS ENOUGH TO MAKE SOME FAINT AND OTHERS SICK.
