The Liars!

Well 'Drums not dead' is out and it's very very different from their last release, personally I loved how challenging and different the previous one was. They were experimenting and failing with insane sounds. 'Drums' seems to take a page from the animal collective book, vocally, musically. I don't think I've heard him actually singing clearly before and it was a little weird. Overall it's slower, quieter...even for animal collective standards it's tame. It might take a little while. Isn't it better when you don't like something right away?

They are playing at warsaw soon actually sometime in june..I think the 24th, it's not on ticketmaster yet.

"Liars - The Other Side of Mt. Heart Attack Enhanced CD / 7" - CDMUTE354 / MUTE354

Mt. Heart Attack...Liars (Angus Andrew, Aaron Hemphill and Julian Gross) released a brand new single, The Other Side Of Mt. Heart Attack, this week (3rd April in North America). The single precedes a brand new album, Drum's Not Dead, out on 20th February 2006 (21st March in N America).

The Other Side Of Mt. Heart Attack, one of the most beautiful songs Liars have ever recorded, is released on 7" and CD. The CD release features a brand new song, Do As The Birds, Digest The Remains alongside two versions of the title track and a Liars remix of Drum And The Uncomfortable Can. Each track is accompanied by a video directed by a member of the band.

The album's title and several track names, including the new single, refer to two fictional characters: Drum and Mount Heart Attack. They are like Yin and Yang, each a state of being. Drum is assertive and productive, the spirit of creative confidence while Mount Heart Attack is the reaction to Drum's action, the embodiment of stress and self-doubt."

Can I just ask why the hell this is out in europe a full month before the US, and then they cry when people download it? See this is the problem with releasing crap on all different dates...it should be a worldwide release, get together and put it out at the same time. Same for DVD's...if I know it's out, someone will share it...will I download it? Yes. Will I still buy the album...well now that I've had some time to think about it....ok with the case of the liars dvd disk....yes....but I'm just saying.
