Viking moses 7 inch

This is like a drum machine behind leonard cohen. I really liked this a side track on his myspace he starts yelling at the end of the track about werewolves in the city, it borders on scarey. Very low-fi in the bedroom, alone just working tirelessly on a drum track, stream of consciousness lyrics. The other tracks were guitar/folky but I really like the vocals and the two seven inches on poptones were only a few bucks, but of course shipping was insane. I am very tempted. interesting stuff.
Also on boomkat.
By the way, It doesn't really go along with devendra, it's not high pitch and annoying. I just can't get into that guy, will oldham I can see, like beck and will oldhams orphaned baby.

Brendon Massei has spent the last 10 years on the road, touring with the likes of Will Oldham, Songs: Ohia and Devendra Banhart. During that time he's assumed the moniker Viking Moses, which in combination with his zany headband instantly maxes out his freak folk cred. The A-side, for all its lo-fi bedroom folk stylings, borrows much of its melody from `Windmills Of My Mind', though Massei's spooked-out delivery ups the wyrdness. Meanwhile, the flip is an excursion into what the man himself refers to as "fat beats". Extra points are earned by Mr. Moses' dedication of this single to Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt of The Mighty Boosh. A highly successful Banhart-esque 4 track opus and no mistake....
