Peel, Julie • The Caulfield Sisters • Covers

I kind of liked the breeders, after you go thru the pixies catalog, you start to look for the side projects, before and after. if you were wondering where the talent lies in the pixies, look for a second at the black francis mess, and I think you will agree: Kim Deal.
There was also that other side project 'The Amps' , they had some dam good tracks, I mean suprisingly good. That was on my ipod for a while and when it would come up randomly, I would have to stop and see what was playing until her voice kicked in. Just think back to 1995 and then listen to 'breaking the split screen barrier' it's way ahead of it's time, and my friends that is the brain behind the pixies. Now of course you can argue, well they were as good as they were because of the fights and everyone keeping each other in check, and that probably has a lot to do with it, but you won't see me buying any frank black albums.

Today's selection will add two new covers to the giagantic indie rock covers mix tape you are making. I don't think I remember the jesus and mary chain song, but who doesn't love 'divine hammer'?
