Four Fifty Six on Actionboy records

Four Fifty Six - Four Fifty Six 7" (Actionboy) Featuring Todd Cook from Shipping News, Crain, For Carnation, Retsin, Papa M and Slint.
CORRECTION
I just got an email from Will Hancock who was the mastermind behind this project....sorry will, I didn't mean to single out Todd, it was the only reference I found in the admittedly little research I did:
I think this post is funny because Todd only plays on one song and I wrote all the music. He plays on Millenium Technology Incorporated, which is the only instrumental on the record. -Will Hancock
Go have a listen to some of Will's latest projects:

This bassist played with everyone from Crain to Slint to the For Carnation....insane, this was the only 7 inch released by this side project. You can hear one track at the actionboy myspace page.
It still sounds good, even after 10 years.
Apparently it is still available from your local record store that orders touch and go records. I contacted soundfix in williamsburg to see if they can get one. This is a pretty obscure piece of that Louisville KY mathrock scene before it even was. It's amazing there are some of these left and it would be amazing to get a hold of one.

Four Fifty Six was one of several Louisville, KY, bands involving bassist Todd Cook, whose first high-profile gig was with local scene stalwarts Crain. After Crain's breakup at the end of 1996, Cook went on to collaborate with the cream of the Louisville indie scene: Slint's Brian McMahan and David Pajo in the For Carnation, Pajo again with Papa M, Rodan's Tara Jane O'Neil in Retsin, and Rodan's Jason Noble and Jeff Mueller in the Shipping News. He also played concurrently with Four Fifty Six, which performed on a mostly local basis; their lone release was a 7" single on the Actionboy label.

Te Hee. I'm surprised too. I met a nice girl in Rotterdam because of that vinyl. I think this post is funny because Todd only plays on one song and I wrote all the music. He plays on Millenium Technology Incorporated, which is the only instrumental on the record. -Will Hancock
