Go Team - Grip like a vice

Limited Edition Yellow Vinyl
1. Grip Like A Vice 2. Bull In The Heather

The Go team are fun, they seem like a poor man's girl talk. It's fun, made up of a ton of samples and holds the line between the seventies/dance and old school hip hop. It's a nice mix that I think has been done in remixes etc, but not to this extent. Granted I've only really heard a few tracks enough, like ladyflash, to talk about them, but that was my impression. Those times in music I don't tend to listen to, so essentially a mashup, however competent, just isn't going to be super memorable.
Really in the end it's kind of dated dance music, so it's a bit of a novelty, but fun, and you might put a couple of tracks in a mix or something.

I'm really curious to hear this cover of sonic youth.

Apparently there are two singles, part 1 and 2, which seems to be the trend these days available from memphis.

Import of course from hotstuff or Eli.com

The new album's in the can, out in the uk on 10 September. First single is Grip Like A Vice out in the UK on 2 July 2007 with b sides of Myself, a cover of Sonic Youth's Bull in the Heather and a remix by Black Affair (Beta Band's Steve Mason's new thing).
