The Electric Bunnies on Columbus Discout Records

The Electric Bunnies have a new one from Columbus Discount, and this might be right in line with Black Moth Super Rainbow, they also have the vocorder effects box all over the lyrics on this one. It sounds more live and less specifically tied to that psyche-time period, but
I mean they obviously like robots, on the sleeve and I think that's what they're singing about, which might put them in the nerd-core arena slightly, it's like a couple of robots have a shitty garage band, which is a dream of mine. They say 'Sweet Robot' a lot.
It is pretty weird, a lot of messed up sounds, and it's reminding me of like Herbie Hancock and that super synth sound, even the time period, that early kind of dirty...well un produced sound of those moogs and stuff. Like they didn't know any better and just used them as another sound, throwing caution to the wind.
But then their other single 'Chewing Gum' sounds like that old Yo la tengo side project, Dump.
I think I'm more partial to that garage sound, but together this is a weird combination, and if there's one thing they want you to know is that they won't be put in some kind of box, man. Pure awesome weirdness from Miami...it doesn't make any sense.
